Ms. Hilary Ferguson: Hilary Ferguson has an MA in Geography from the University of Toronto and an MA in Public Policy and Administration from Ryerson University. Hilary has also worked and volunteered for various development organizations, including the Canada-Africa Partnership for AIDS (CAP AIDS) and End Poverty Now (EPN). Currently, she is a policy analyst at the Ontario Public Service.
Ms. Mollie Laffin-Rose: Mollie Laffin-Rose holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Philosophy from Wesleyan University, US. Her work and interests weave through ethics research, communications, education, and socioeconomic development. In addition to contributing to CDHR, she has worked with Macmillan Publishers (New York), the UN (New York), Dream a Dream (Bangalore), the American India Foundation (Delhi), Educational Initiatives (Delhi), and Zabaan Language Institute (Delhi). She is primarily interested in human development through language learning and literacy, and innovative global education.
Mr. Alexander Pekic: Alexander Pekic holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Toronto, and an MA from the Centre for European, Russian and Eurasian Studies at the Munk School of Global Affairs, University of Toronto. His interests are in the politics of the media, immigration policy and indigenous rights.
Ms. Joanne Tan: Joanne Tan is an exchange student at Jawarhalal Nehru University. Born and raised in Singapore, she left for France in 2009 to study at Sciences Po Paris (otherwise known as Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris), and she is currently in her third year. After spending a year in Delhi, she will be returning to Paris to pursue her masters.
Ms. Selina Thounaojam: Selina Thounaojam holds a BA from Lady Shri Ram College, Delhi, and an MA in Economics from the Delhi School of Economics. She has written numerous articles for local English newspapers in Manipur, and has worked as a field monitoring officer for People’s Resource Development Association, Manipur. Her interests include development economics, macroeconomics and economies of the North East.
Christian Van Laak: Christian van Laak holds a Master’s degree in Political Theory from Goethe University Frankfurt. He has worked for Rosa-Luxemburg-Foundation’s Asia Department in Berlin and his main interests are in political philosophy, political and cultural participation and development.
Ms. Urvashi Tilak: Urvashi Tilak has an MA in Sociology from Jawaharlal Nehru University, and is currently pursuing an M.Phil from the Delhi School of Economics, Department of Sociology. Her interests are women’s issues, labour and social security issues, with a focus on child labour and bonded labour.
Mr. Philip Varghese: Philip Varghese graduated from St. Stephen’s College, New Delhi with Economics and Political Science as majors, and later completed a Masters in Political Science from Madras Christian College, Chennai. He is currently a research fellow at Jawaharlal Nehru University, pursuing an M. Phil degree. His interest areas include labour issues, minority rights and migration.
Ms. Priyanka Varma: Priyanka Varma is an undergraduate student at Sciences Po Paris (otherwise known as Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris). She is currently studying at King’s College, London.
